About E-Readers
The experience depends on the brand. Kindle and Kobo are built around their own bookstores, PocketBook reads most formats (EPUB, PDF, MOBI…) natively with no account required, and BOOX e-readers run Android with access to the Google Play Store, so you can install the reading apps you already use.
